About
She won all her school prizes for words.
Highest marks in English. Highest marks in Afrikaans. Twelfth in South Africa in the Anglo-De Beers English Olympiad. Then she went to Pietermaritzburg and read Fine Arts instead.
What followed was fifteen years of exhibiting through Durban and Cape Town, a solo show at the Durban Art Gallery, two exhibitions in the Cape Town Month of Photography, an invitation to present at the World Congress of Art Deco in London, and twenty-four thousand miles across America in a van with a camera.
